Watty Wins Utah Section PGA Match Play Championship
Battling wet weather and a strong field, Troy Watkins became the 2011 Utah Section PGA Match Play champion with a 1 up victory over Pete Stone at Hubbard Golf Course on the Hill Air Force Base.

The Final Four is set for the afternoon rounds at Hubbard Golf Club. The next question will be whether they will finish today due to the rain settling in. The morning round had a light rain on and off, but it’s now settled in and the forecast looks rough.
Utah Section PGA Final 8
The sun came out in the afternoon at the Match Play Championship and along with it came a few more birdies. J R Shears beat defending champion Dustin Volk 2 & 1 with a score of six under par thru seventeen holes.
Johnson, Summerhays Tie for Medalist Honors at Oakridge Country Club U.S. Open Local Qualifying
It rained and it poured as Utah golfers did their best to keep their composure and score at Oakridge Country Club in the local qualifying tournament for this year’s U.S. Open Championship.
United States Golf Association’s local representative Keith Hansen predicted that the low score would be 70. Zach Johnson and Joseph Summerhays proved him right.
