The Utah Governors was played on Wednesday at Promontory Golf Club in Park City, Utah. Promontory was a great site for the event offering the Nicklaus Painted Desert Golf Course for the morning alternate shot format and the Pete Dye Course for the afternoon matches.
The Section Professionals got off to a quick start in the morning alternate shot matches. The senior teams from the PGA continued their dominance in the Governor’s Cup event. Jimmy Blair teamed with Roy Christensen to win 4 & 2 while Brad Stone


Hidden amongst the flurry of the 2011 Siegfried & Jensen Utah Open and a bevy of club events are some the Utah Sections’ best community golf efforts! By the time our members host their club championships and invitational events, plus slip in a couple of playing opportunities, there is little time left to donate toward supporting golf growth activities.
