45th PGA Professional National Championship

The 45th PGA Professional National Championship just wrapped-up at the Bayonet & Black Horse Golf Courses, in Seaside, CA. PGA Professional Casey Fowles from Coral Canyon Golf Club in Washington, UT and Chris Moody, Riverside CC, Provo, UT made the cut and finished tied for 40th spot. Both Fowles and Moody won $2,765 for their efforts. [click here for full final purse].

The top fifteen players from this event also qualify to play in the PGA Championship scheduled for Kiawah Island, SC in August. Steve Schneiter of Pebblebrook GC, SLC UT is a two time Champion of the PGA PNC event and has represented the Utah Section at several PGA Championships.

Five Utah Section PGA professionals qualified to play in the PGA National event. Dustin Volk, Valley View GC; Mark Owen, Mountain View GC; James Blair, Toads Golf & Games were to other three.

Local PGA Golf Professionals will qualify for the 2013 PGA Professional National Championship at Toana Vista GC, W. Wendover, NV in September of this year. Entry Deadline for the PNC is next Thursday July 5th!
