2012 WENDOVER CASINO OPEN RE-CAP

PRO-AM – Wednesday June 27, 2012

After having high winds for multiple days prior to the start of the 2012 Wendover Open the winds calmed down in time for Brett Black and his team to shoot a very low team score of 111.7 to capture the Wednesday Pro – Am title. The team of Kury Reynolds finished in 2nd place with a great score of 116.95. Mark Owen’s team played well and wrapped up 3rd place honors with a score of 118.

Day 1 – 2012 Wendover Open

Professional Division – Dustin Volk and Shawn Edwards opened up with a fantastic round of 63 to take a two shot lead over Steve Schneiter and James Blair who shot 65 in their opening round. In 3rd place with 66, were the teams of: Mike Propp and Sean Donigan, Pete Stone and Zach Johnson, Ryan Rhees and Tracy Zobell, Corey Badger and Mike Mcrae.

 

Senior Professional DivisonTerry Outzen and partner Craig Sarlo carded a 66 in their opening round to take a one shot lead over Kean Ridd and Roy Christensen, 67. In 3rd place at 68, were the teams of: Mike Borich and Tom Storey, Wayne Volk and Jeff Jerman, Bob Lendzion and John Long.

 

Day 2 – 2012 Wendover Open

 

Professional Division – Dustin Volk and Shawn Edwards followed up their fantastic day one score of 63 with another 63 in day two to finish in first place at -18 under par. Pete Stone and Zach Johnson shot an incredible final round score of 61 to finish second place, just one shot back of the champions Volk and Edwards. Steve Schneiter and James Blair played steady shooting scores of 65, 65 for a score of -15 under par to take home 3rd place honors. See complete Leader board…

 

Senior Professional Divison – Mike Borich and Tom Storey opened up the Wendover Casino Open with a good round of 68 but finished with a blazing round of 61 to take home the Senior Professional championship. Kean Ridd and Roy Christensen fired strong rounds of 67, 63 to finish one shot back of the champions Borich and Storey. Bob Lendzion and John Long, defending 2011 champions finished in third place shooting 68, 66. See complete leader board…
