After three consecutive years of taking 2nd place at the UHSAA 4A Golf State Championship the Box Elder Bees break through and win their 1st State Championship title! Led by the individual medalist McCall Uyematsu (83 stableford, 79 stroke) Box Elder beat defending champions Bonneville by scoring 306 modified stableford points.
The course conditions at The Barn in North Ogden were pristine and proved to be the ideal venue for the UHSAA 4A Girls State Championship to be contested. Bountiful High School placed 4th but Senior Carly Anderson made her final round memorable by finishing in the top 10 and earning All-State Honors but it was her Hole-in-One on hole #14 that she will remember forever. Thank you to head golf professional Kelly Woodland and his staff for hosting this event and compliments to the golf course.
