The first ever UHSAA 2A Girls Golf State Championship was played at Lakeside Golf Course. Prior to this year the 1A and 2A girls combined for a single championship. Due to the growing popularity of the High School Girls golf programs across the state, this is the first year that the 1A and 2A Girls have competed in their own State Championships.
The Richfield High School Wildcats win the 2013 2A Girls High School State Championship with a modified stableford team score of 266 which now makes them back-to-back winners of the State Championship. Richfield won last year in the larger field consisting of both 1A and 2A schools. Carly Jorgensen of Richfield High School also repeats as the individual medalist scoring 82 modified stableford points (78 stroke play)!
