Oakridge Country Club Ed Kenley Memorial Pro-Am

Pro-Am season is now officially underway! Oakridge Country Club hosted 148 professionals and amateurs in what has traditionally been the first pro-am of the year. Oakridge Country Club would like to thank all of the players who participated in the 2012 Ed Kenley Memorial Pro-Am on Monday, April 30th.

Players enjoyed some of the best weather that we have experienced so far this year and even managed to avoid the winds that were predicted for the afternoon.  Oakridge introduced a new format this year.  They played one net ball on the par fives, two net balls on the par fours, and three net balls on the par three’s. Other format changes in this year’s tournament included using tee times instead of shotgun starts and played in foursomes instead of fivesomes.  The feedback on the changes that were implemented has been very positive and the players really enjoyed themselves.

Oakridge Country Club thanks everyone who participated and wants to let all of you know who weren’t able to play what an enjoyable event you missed and encourage your participation in the 2013 Ed Kenley Memorial Pro-Am.  This year’s Utah Open will once again be played at Oakridge Country Club and the entire staff looks forward to seeing you all in August!
