The Utah Section PGA officially kicked off its 2011 golf season by holding the Utah Section PGA Membership Meeting and Pro-Pro event on April 18. The Spring Meeting was a great success. It included a presentation from Mike Bailey of the USGA for a $10,000 grant for the Utah Junior Golf Foundation. The Utah Section PGA Board of Directors is extremely excited about the programs that can be created and the kids that can be helped with this generous grant.

District 9 Director Ron Dunham was able to update Section Members on governance issues like the MSR policy status as well as introducing the new Boston Consulting marketing research for the Golf 2.0 Strategic Plan.
Utah Section President proudly reviewed the new Utah Section PGA Website with the membership. An upgraded website has been in the works for a long time and the final produce seems to be meeting or exceeding most of the members’ expectations. It will go a long way in reconnecting and communicating with both the membership and the local golf community.
