One of Utah’s great traditional country clubs hosted the Utah PGA Professionals for one of their “new traditions”, the Utah Section PGA Spring Tee-Off Event. PGA Members and Apprentices gathered at Riverside Country Club in Provo on Monday, April 22 to compete in the Spring Pro-Pro and Utah Section Fourball Championship Seeding as well as attend the Section’s Spring Meeting. The grand new Riverside CC clubhouse area was the perfect setting to highlight new PGA initiatives and announcements!
Utah Section Golf Professionals were introduced to a whole “zoo” full of inflatables. The Utah Section staff arranged many of the “Block Party” & “growth of the game” support materials to demonstrate the many ways our PGA Professionals can take golf out into their communities. The display on the Riverside CC Commons included Golfzilla, Golf-O-Potamus, Birdie Ball Air-Target, and other items like Snag Golf equipment. These displays led into later presentations on growing the game of golf in Utah and meshed with this spring’s rallying cry to members of “Get Golf Ready”!
Be sure to watch out for free mini-golf lessons; free junior golf clubs; and wild golf-animals coming to your golf community this summer!
