The Utah High School Golf Championships have become a fall classic for Utah high school sports enthusiasts. This year’s classic featured three new classification champions and one six-peat championship teams. The Utah High School Activities Association has teamed with the Utah Section PGA to provide great championship events for over twenty years. This year’s championship events featured one of the best facility line-ups ever!
Playing four separate two-day championships all in the same week at different host facilities is somewhat an administrative challenge for the local PGA, but is certainly an exciting week in high school sports. Nearly 400 high school golfers participated in the 2A, 3A, 4A, and 5A Boy’s Championships. 1A Boys’ golf and all five classifications of Girls Golf are played in the spring.
In addition to the team honors bestowed by the UHSAA at these four championships the Utah Section PGA also determines individual All-State Honors. An All-State First Team, Second Team, and an Honorable Mention Team are determined from both championship and region results.

Special thanks go to the great championship golf courses that hosted this year’s events. With two country clubs in the mix this could be the best group of high school venues for many years. The great conditions and hospitality of these venues represent a considerable commitment to the Utah golf community. Thanks for your support!
