Utah Section PGA Sends 3 to Web.com Tour Utah Championship!

30 Utah Section PGA members vie for the chance to challenge the up and coming stars of the Web.com Tour in which only 2 qualified. Hidden Valley Country Club hosted this local qualifying event on the Lakes and Valley nines. Zach Johnson, 2012 Assistant Player of the Year earned the first Web.com Tour qualifying spot in the Utah Championship by shooting a -4 (68). Five players tied at -2 (70) for the second spot creating a playoff: Jimmy Blair, Derek Fox, Casey Fowles, Derek Butts, and Joe Summerhays. Summerhays and Butts made birdie on the first playoff hole making it a 2 man playoff. Both made pars on #2. Joe Summerhays beat Derek Butts on the third playoff hole as Butts made bogie from the bunker on #3. Zach and Joe will join Section Champion Mark Owen at Willow Creek Country Club in July for the Web.com Tour Utah Championship. Represent us well!! Best of luck to all of you!!
