The Utah Section PGA Teaching Summit was held at a new venue this year. Instead of travelling all the way to St. George, Utah for sunny warm weather, the Teaching Summit was held in Draper, Utah at the new Impact Golf Center. This new state of the game indoor teaching center was the perfect site for this member education opportunity.
Keeping up with the newest and most effective teaching skills is a major goal for Utah Section PGA Members and apprentices. This year’s summit featured a great array of instructors including: Marius Filmalter noted putting expert; Boyd Summerhays former PGA tour player and coach for Tony Finau; Orange Whip’s Jim Hackenberg; Ben Knighton of GolfTEC; Bruce Brockbank BYU Golf Coach; and the Impact Golf Center’s own Derek Fox.
