Utah PGA Majors Series
The Utah PGA Majors Series was created to offer golfers looking for a more compeitive tournament experience
The Majors consist of 18 & 36-Hole events throughout the summer
The Majors Series is open to only those who automatically qualify or participate in a Majors Qualifying Event (Q-School)
For the 16-18 Boys and Girls Division. One winner from the Major Championship and Player of the Year will win exemptions into the Utah Open and the Utah Women’s Open!
Qualifications are based on the previous years performance:
- Top 10 Majors Boys Player of the Year Points List
- Top 5 Majors Girls Player of the Year Points List
- Top 3 in any Major event from the previous year
- Previous year JET Series Player of the Year
- 2024-2025 First Team All-State (must have averaged 89.9 or better in offical region and state results)
- Member of previous Years Mountain Cup Team
Two Q-School events will be held before the season begins with one in April and one in May.
Q-School events will consist of a 1-day 18-hole event with a percentage of the field qualifying based on field size. The percentage is estimated to be between 20-25% of the age group.
- If you do not qualify at the first q-school or cannot make it to the first event, the second event is open to all again (Registration will open at the completion of the first qualifying event)
- Someone who does not qualify at either event will be eligible to to qualify for the remainder of the season by winning a JET event.
For those who are unable to participate in a qualifying event and do not automatically qualify the following two options are avaliable:
- Two host course exemptions will be made at each event.
- For each event 5 exemptions will be made to those to apply by submitting the following form. You will be notified by time of registration open if you are given a spot.
- 5-6 special exemptions per event will be given to those who wish to apply using the following application: Click here
- Applications due 3 days prior to event registration deadline
- If a player is given an exemption and proceeds to place in the top 10 at the event, they would then be exempt for the remainder of the season.
- Application must be completed by player
