Sunset View Golf Course Head Professional Casey Fowles’ game clicked at the right moment with a victory at the 2018 America First Davis Park Open on September 6th at Davis Park Golf Course.

The PGA Jr. League Championship presented by National Car Rental will remain at picturesque Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, through 2022. Grayhawk Golf Club has hosted the Championship since 2016, with the 2018 event scheduled for Nov. 16-19.

The 2016 Senior PGA Professional Champion Steve Schneiter has gained some momentum heading into 2018’s Championship in October by claiming a win at this year’s Utah PGA Senior Section Championship hosted by Promontory Club’s Painted Valley Course August 29-30 in Park City, Utah.

After four Local Drive, Chip & Putt Qualifiers held at courses throughout Utah, 16 available qualifying spots were up for grabs at the 2018 Sub-Regional Qualifier at Promontory Club on August 25th in Park City, Utah. Local Utah juniors took advantage of home turf and secured 10 of the 16 spots to advance to the Regional Qualifier held at Chambers Bay in University Place, Washington.

Former Richfield High and Dixie State College golfer Dusty Fielding entered the 92nd Siegfried & Jensen Utah Open thinking it or next month’s Sand Hollow Open at his home course in Hurricane would be his last tournament as a playing professional.

Earlier in the week, Dusty Fielding said he was seriously considering giving up competitive golf after the Siegfried & Jensen Utah Open.

Two Siegfried & Jensen Utah Women’s Opens, one champion. Lea Garner, former Brigham Young University Women’s golfer returned to East Bay Golf Course August 8-9 in Provo, Utah, and is once again leaving with the ABC Good 4 Utah Trophy.

Tony Finau has delivered an out-of-this-world performance in 2018’s major championships and Davis Park Assistant Professional Zach Johnson is also taking on the game’s best in the PGA Championship.

The Nicklaus Painted Valley Golf Course at Promontory Club provided a true test of skill and was a fitting venue for the 2018 Utah PGA Junior Series Major Championship. The fourth and final Utah PGA Junior Series Major contained a field of some of the best Utah juniors fighting for exemption spots into the 2018 Siegfried & Jensen Utah Open and Utah Women’s Open.
