TNT Auction Rose Park Open

The Scoring was as hot as the temperatures at Saturday’s long-delayed TNT Auction Rose Park Open. The original date in May was postponed due to an epic rainstorm over Mother’s Day weekend.

After two amateurs posted early morning 64’s, the afternoon Professionals knew they were going to have to go low. And go low they did as newly minted professional Justin Keiley posted nothing higher than a four on his card in firing a brand new course record of 60 at the par-70 Rose Park Golf Course.

Two amateurs in Ryan Brimley and Seokwon Jeon tied for second place with 6-under-par 64’s.

Two professionals in Mountain View’s Head Pro Mark Owen, and InMotion Junior Golf Director Todd Tanner rounded out the top five with 5-Under Par 65’s.

When asked for comment, Rose Park GC Head Professional Derek Schmehl added, “The TNT Auction Rose Park Open has made it its mission to support up and coming players. We wish Justin luck in all of his future pursuits.” It is worth noting that three former champions of the Rose Park Open, Zac Blair, Tony Finau and Daniel Summerhays all finished in the top-15 on the leaderboard of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoff event held the same weekend, the Barclay’s Championship!

Keiley earned $1,400 for his victory.
