Eighteen teams representing a number of Utah’s golf courses and golf associations played Alpine Country Club today. They were vying for honors at the annual Highland Golf Classic. This unique golf event brings together the management staffs at Utah’s golf facilities. Golf Professionals join golf course superintendents, general managers, and other golf course officials for a great day celebrating golf in Utah.
Congratulations goes to the team from Nibley Park GC who shot a 112 score (-32) in the modified scramble format (scramble tee ball, 1 gross, 1 net ball per hole) and took first place by a seven full shots. The team from Victory Ranch placed second with a score of 119 (-25). Following in third place was Wingpointe’s team at 120 (-24).
Lynn Ware of Highland Golf Equipment Company noted that: “we have enjoyed supporting this event for over a decade.” “Part of our value in this event is providing a day away from the office, enjoying the game of golf that they have worked so hard to help us enjoy.” Everyone enjoyed the great conditions at the host club Alpine CC.
